IFFA and PROCESS EXPO enter a strategic marketing alliance
Tom Kittle, FPSA chairman, and Wolfgang Marzin, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt, announce IFFA and PROCESS EXPO have formed a strategic marketing alliance.

FRANKFURT, Germany – The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) announced on May 9 that it signed an agreement with Messe Frankfurt, the owner of the world famous IFFA trade show, in support of both organizations’ trade show events. The announcement was made during a press conference at the IFFA which runs through May 12.

This agreement is set to help the FPSA when they host PROCESS EXPO in September 2017 in Chicago.

“PROCESS EXPO 2017 will benefit greatly from this agreement thanks in large part to promotion from Messe Frankfurt’s offices, not just in Germany and the rest of Europe, but also Asia and the Middle East,” said Tom Kittle, chairman of the FPSA and president of Handtmann Inc. and Handtmann Canada Limited. “This cooperation with IFFA correlates exceptionally well with existing agreements with our Dusseldorf and Nurnberg partners and further solidifies PROCESS EXPO’s position as North America's largest food and beverage processing and packaging event.

This is the third agreement that FPSA has signed following comparable arrangements with Messe Dusseldorf (interpack) and Messe Nurnberg (Beviale), organizers of similar prominent international trade fairs representing complementary segments of the food and beverage industry.

“I am delighted that we have been able to reach a cooperation agreement with FPSA. Our strategic marketing alliance will benefit the entire sector,” said Wolfgang Marzin, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt. “Our aim is to further develop our well-established trade fairs in both qualitative and quantitative terms. In addition to a number of coordinated marketing measures, joint activities in other countries are planned to promote the dynamic development of food technology worldwide with strong events.”

PROCESS EXPO has been held in Chicago every two years since 2011. At the last edition in the autumn of 2015, an audience of around 20,000 trade visitors saw 914 exhibitors present their innovations.

“This new strategic partnership between IFFA and PROCESS EXPO adds tremendous value and benefits for show attendees at both trade shows,” said David Seckman, CEO and president of FPSA. “The newly combined additional resources from both organizations will result in attendees being able to attend increased and more extensive educational sessions, special events/receptions, and networking opportunities as well as seeing more international exhibitors.”
