YEKATERINBURG, Russia – Russian food-safety authorities have closed a fifth McDonald's location, according to Reuters.
The restaurant is in Yekaterinburg in the Urals. Russian food-safety officials announced plans to conduct unscheduled checks on McDonald's locations in the region after receiving food-safety complaints.
The country's food-safety agency temporarily closed three McDonald's restaurants on Pushkin Square, Manezh Square and Prospect Mira. Another restaurant was closed in Stavropol, according to Reuters. The locations were closed "based on a claim from a federal consumer agency", McDonald's said in a statement.
