MONT-LAURIER, Quebec – Federal economic development funds will help Ferme La Rose des Vents expand its Mont-Laurier poultry processing facility.

The Canadian firm will receive a C$109,800 ($98,403) repayable investment made through Canada Economic Development's Quebec Economic Development Program. Ferme La Rose des Vents will use the funds to expand the plant and purchase additional processing equipment. The family-run company manufactures various grain-fed poultry products.

"By supporting our enterprise, Canada Economic Development is helping ensure that jobs are maintained in our region and that our children can take over the reins," said Diane Aubin, owner of Ferme La Rose des Vents.
