BEIJING – China has launched Spicy Pork McBites, a pork version of the company's Chicken McNuggets.

The Beijinger reports the nuggets have a crispy coating similar to Chicken McNuggets, but with a "mildly spicy bite". A small order of 18 McBites costs rmb 9.50 ($1.56), and they are served in containers similar to those used for Chinese takeout in the United States.

Pork remains China’s meat of choice. The Chinese consume approximately 52 million tons of pork annually.
