OTTAWA, Ontario – Les Salaisons Desco Inc. is recalling Schwartz's At Home brand smoked meat on concerns the products are contaminated withListeria monocytogenes, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency reported Nov. 13.


CFIA test results prompted the recall, according to the agency. CFIA said a food safety investigation is underway that could lead to a recall of additional products. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the meat products.

The affected products were sold in 500 g (4 x 125 g) packages with the product code 2013DE13 and a UPC code of 6 27533 96123 5, according to CFIA. The product was distributed to retail locations in Quebec and Ontario provinces.
