BEIJING – China will begin stockpiling pork in an effort to stabilize prices and check large-scale losses by pork producers, according to a report from Reuters.
China’s National Development and Reform Commission, the country’s top economic planning body said it expects pork supplies to exceed demand, and that the government would try to ensure “the market returns to balance as soon as possible.”
