DUBAI – A three-year ban on imported cattle more than 30 months of age from the United States put in place after unfounded fears of bovine spongiform encephalopathy surfaced in 2009 has finally been lifted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
From January to November 2011, the US exported 5.685 metric tons of beef to the UAE, according to the US Meat Export Federation.
