AdvancePierre recalls chicken products

WASHINGTON – Chicken breast products that were made with milk and soy ingredients that were not declared on the label prompted AdvancePierre to implement a recall of 8,730 lbs. of product, the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service reported.
AdvancePierre, Enid, Okla., discovered the problem during an internal label review. The company mistakenly used labels with an incorrect ingredient label. The company notified FSIS upon finding the mistake. There have been no reports of adverse reactions or illness.
Products subject to recall include 10-lb. bulk cases of “Our Down Home Style Chicken Breast Fritters for Chicken Frying” with Lot Code 5440730403 or 5440800403, produced March 14 and 21, 2014. Only these lot codes and dates are affected.
bear the UPC Code 36541 and establishment number “P-2260Y” inside the USDA mark of inspection. FSIS said the chicken was distributed to food service establishments in Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Virginia.
