Canadian firm recalls Kirkland product

OTTAWA, Ontario – Freshouse Foods Ltd., a wholesale business in Ontario, recalled Kirkland Signature brand Grilled Chicken Breast Strips on concerns the product may be contaminated with Listeria
, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency reported.
CFIA said results from tests conducted by the agency revealed the problem. A food-safety investigation is underway, the agency said, and additional products may be recalled. No illnesses have been reported.
The recalled product bears the UPC 0 96619 70787 4 and "Best Before" date of APR13-APR26, inclusive, the agency said. The chicken breast strips were sold in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, but may also have been sold in other provinces.
