WASHINGTON – Yauk's Specialty Meats expanded its recall of meat and poultry products that were produced under insanitary conditions, the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service reported Dec. 16.
The products subject to the current expanded recall can be identified by the establishment number “Est. 20309” inside the USDA mark of inspection and include:
• Corner Post Meats brand hams and bacon.
• Old Style Sausage brand Smoked Andouille Sausage.
• Old Style Sausage brand Smoked Kielbasa Sausage.
FSIS inspectors discovered meat and poultry products were being produced under insanitary conditions, including rodent activity in the production, storage and retail areas of the property. The agency suspended the assignment of inspectors at the Windsor, Colo.-based facility. There have been no reports of illness associated with the recalled products. The products being recalled are in addition to various meat and poultry products that were recalled on Dec. 9 and Dec. 12.
