WASHINGTON – Garden Fresh Foods is recalling an additional 103,080 lbs. of ready-to-eat chicken and ham salads on concerns the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service reported. The Milwaukee-based company previously recalled 25,748 lbs. of product.

Products affected by the recall bear the establishment number “EST. 17256” or “Est. P-17256” inside the USDA mark of inspection. FSIS said that product included in the recall may be expired, but some product may be stored in consumer or retail freezers. The salads were distributed to retail and food service firms nationwide, FSIS said.
FSIS conducted a food-safety assessment at Garden Fresh after the initial recall. Microbial testing and other findings indicated that additional product was contaminated. There have been no reports of illness associated with the recalled products.

Garden Fresh Foods is a national supplier and distributor of ready-to-eat products to grocery chains, restaurants, health care facilities and institutions. The affected products were sold under the Garden-Fresh, Market Pantry, Archer Farms and D'Amico & Sons brands.
