The Boss Burger, available at Chili's restaurants, features five meats and multiple toppings.

DALLAS – For the past month Chili’s Grill & Bar tested The Boss Burger in three select cities. After positive response from test markets, the company has released the burger nationwide.

The 1,650-calorie burger stacks bacon, jalapeño sausage, pulled rib meat, brisket and a beef patty with cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, ranch and barbecue sauce.

“When we look back on what truly made Chili’s famous, we always come back to the same thing — burgers, ribs and fajitas. Chili’s was the original gourmet burger concept back when we opened our doors on Greenville Ave. in Dallas, Texas in 1975,” Steve Provost, chief marketing officer, said in a statement. “America’s love of burgers has never waned, but the bar for an exceptional burger keeps getting higher and higher. Well, at almost half a foot tall — and with bacon and rib meat and sausage and brisket stacked on top of our one-half pound of burger meat — it’s hard to get any higher than The Boss.”

Chili’s also reintroduced the Chili’s Chili, from the restaurant’s first menu in 1975. The new Alex’s Santa Fe burger is new to the Chili’s menu as well. The Chili’s Chili consists of a half-pound patty covered in Chili’s Original Chili, shredded cheeses, sautéed onions and crispy seasoned tortilla strips. Alex’s Santa Fe Burger is a half-pound patty with pepper jack cheese, avocado, roasted jalapeños, cilantro, pickles, red onion, tomato and Chef Alex Gomez’s signature spicy Santa Fe sauce.
