Subway offers options for calorie counters or penny pinchers

New Year's promotion features discounted footlong, diet-friendly 6-in. sandwiches.
 
MILFORD, Conn. – To kick start the company in 2018, Subway announced a limited time promotion starting New Year’s Day offering discounted prices on its footlong sandwiches and highlighting its 6-in. sandwiches to appeal to calorie-conscious customers. Effective Jan. 1, the sandwich chain is offering five of its footlong sandwich options for $4.99 and eight 6-in., Fresh Fit sandwiches that contain 400 calories or less.  

Footlong options include: Black Forest Ham, Meatball Marinara, Spicy Italian, Cold Cut Combo and Veggie Delite, according to the company, while the Fresh Fit offerings include: Black Forest Ham, Oven Roasted Chicken, Roast Beef, Rotisserie-Style Chicken, Subway Club, Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki, Turkey Breast or its Veggie Delite.

“We are thrilled to give our guests their choice of a budget-friendly Footlong or a fit-friendly six-inch sandwich,” said Jack Luttrell, Subway’s regional director of North America.
