Kroger's Prep+Pared Meal Kits are available in nearly 200 stores.

CINCINNATI – Kroger’s Prep+Pared Meal Kits will soon be available in about 200 stores nationwide. The grocery chain is adding the line to four additional divisions – Central, Columbus, Fry's and Nashville. The meal kits are already available in the Cincinnati, Louisville and Ralphs’ divisions.

“Prep+Pared Meal Kits are a growing part of Kroger's Our Brands portfolio. As we focus on redefining the grocery customer experience, as outlined in our Restock Kroger plan, we will rapidly grow the footprint of Prep+Pared Meal Kits in 2018,” said Robert Clark, Kroger's senior vice president of merchandising. “Since introducing Prep+Pared Meal Kits earlier this year, our customers have responded favorably to having a convenient solution that makes dinner easy.”

Prep+Pared Meal Kits are designed to feed two adults and range in price from $14 to $20. The ingredients are fresh, seasonal, prepped and measured so customers have only what’s needed for each recipe. Each recipe can be prepared in about 20 minutes.

Unlike some meal kit programs on the market, there is no required subscription with Kroger’s Prep+Pared Meal Kits. They can be purchased in stores and online on ClickList.

Current recipes include Bacon and Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken with Broccolini Radish and Wheatberry, Shrimp Scampi with Lemon Garlic Fettuccini and Carne Asada with Fajita Vegetables and Refried Black Beans.

I have made 2 meals so far and it s very convenient and they tasted ok. I know some of the directions as far as cooking time have to be wrong. There is no way to roast carrots in the oven for only 2 minutes. I wondering if these meals are even tested. Not sure if we will purchase again.

I just made the Mushroom Stroganoff this evening for dinner. It was absolutely delicious! All the ingredients were fresh and well measured. I really can see how cooking with garlic is tasty! I will try every one of these meals. It is just myself and my 15 year old daughter at home so it is a perfect portion size. For $16.00 I got all the perfect measurements...all I provided was a couple of skillets and s/p. I have some left over for lunch tomorrow!

I just tried one of the new meal kits - Prep & Pared from Fry's Marketplace - not bad at all. I guess you can compare it to Blue Apron or Home Chef where everything is prepped and measured. I tried the chicken enchilada kit. Not enough tortillas because I had a lot of chicken, sauce and cheese left over. But it tasted great. I can't wait to try the others. MUCH easier than ordering something online.
