Wendy's to celebrate fresh beef on nationwide college football tailgaiting tour.

DUBLIN, Ohio- The Wendy's Co., the official hamburger of the NCAA, will use its food truck this college football season to tour the country in an effort to promote its fresh-never-frozen burger patties.

"No matter who fans root for on Saturdays, we know everyone can agree that fresh beef is better than frozen because fresh just tastes better." said Kurt Kane, chief concept and marketing officer for Wendy's.  "That's why we're going to some of the biggest college football games of the year to make sure fans who are tailgating don't have to settle for anything less than fresh."

At games throughout the season and across the country, the Wendy’s food truck will serve free single cheeseburgers. During the events, fans will also have the opportunity to partake in traditional tailgating games, including an announcer-enhanced cornhole competition.

The 2017 Wendy's College Tailgate Tour is also being promoted on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook channels during the campaign.
