OAKWOOD, Ga. – Wayne Farms LLC promoted Tom Bell to vice president, general manager of the company’s Prepared Foods business. Bell succeeds John Flood, who announced his retirement effective Aug. 31 after leading the Prepared Foods segment for seven years.

Bell joined Wayne Farms’ Prepared Foods business three years ago to lead the sales organization. He brings many years of experience in the food industry, particularly poultry, having held leadership positions at Pilgrim’s Pride and Pierce.

“We are fortunate to have someone of Tom’s caliber on board and look forward to Tom taking the reins of the Prepared Foods division,” said Clint Rivers, Wayne Farms CEO. “His extensive background in the food industry and his wide range of experience has played a key role in the division’s success. We are excited to work with him in his new role.

“We also appreciate John’s strong leadership in focusing our Prepared Foods business towards achieving strong sales and operational performance, which has led to many significant milestones and achievements,” Rivers continued. “We wish John and his wife, all the best as they move forward into the next exciting chapter of their lives.”
