Benihana brings back downtown Chicago restaurant

The teppanyaki and sushi restaurant is set to open on Aug. 23.
AVENTURA, Fla. — Benihana, operator of Japanese-inspired teppanyaki and sushi restaurants, announced the opening of its newest Benihana Restaurant scheduled for Aug. 23, on the concourse level at the foot of the John Hancock Center in Chicago.

“We are thrilled to return to historic downtown Chicago after 10 years,” said Benihana CEO and President Tom Baldwin. “Our Benihana Restaurant will be a wonderful addition to Chicago, a city truly known for its incredible food scene. Downtown Chicago is the perfect spot for visitors and residents alike to enjoy the Benihana experience.”

The restaurant features 22 teppanyaki tables, a contemporary sushi bar, three private dining rooms, a cocktail lounge and outdoor patio seating.
