CHICAGO — Mindy Simon, vice president of global business services at Conagra Brands Inc., has been promoted to the role of chief information officer. In her new role, Simon will report to Dave Marberger, executive vice president and chief financial officer. She succeeds Gerrit Schutte, who has announced plans to retire from the company and will remain on board through October to assist with the transition.

“Mindy is an important part of the Conagra Brands organization, as she possesses deep knowledge of the business,” Marberger said. “The breadth and quality of her work during her time at the company uniquely qualifies for the CIO role.”

Since joining the company in 2000, Simon has held various roles in finance and information technology, with responsibilities including analyzing economic indicators, tracking major commodity markets and leading technology transformation across the organization. In her most recent role leading global business services, she has had responsibility over customer order management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, data management organization and vendor management organization.

"We have an incredibly talented team and it is an honor to lead the organization,” Simon said. “I'm confident that we will continue to deliver great results as we support the evolving needs of Conagra."
