MARSHFIELD, Wis. – In an effort to provide high-quality taste and naturally produced meat snack sticks, Wenzel’s Farm announced it will discontinue the use of all artificially colored casings. The company now ships all sticks in clear casings.

"Our meat crafters take great pride in their work and their craft, and there is no reason to hide that quality craftsmanship behind an artificially colored casing," said Wenzel's Farm President Mark Vieth in a statement. "The rich colors of our snacks come naturally from our authentic hickory smoking process."

Wenzel’s statement went on to say the small batch production using family recipes, quality ingredients and a dedication to craftsmanship will continue.
