GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. – Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews’ new menu offering comes without a bun but with a challenge to an actor in a popular television show.

The chain unveiled its new Avocado Chicken Wedgie, a bun-free, grilled chicken breast topped with bacon, avocado, tomatoes, red onions and ranch dressing wrapped in a lettuce wedge. The Avocado Chicken Wedgie is available for a limited time through March 19.

To promote the new offering, Red Robin issued a challenge to actor Milo Ventimiglia, who stars in the television series “This is Us.” The company is challenging Ventimiglia to cut off his “man bun” before taking to the red carpet during awards season.

“Red Robin's playful spirit is infused into everything we do, especially our new Chicken Avocado Wedgie,” Jonathan Muhtar, senior vice president and CMO at Red Robin, said in a statement. “All eyes will be on Sunday’s award show and we hope our loyal guests will join in support of our red carpet-worthy burger by encouraging Milo to lose the bun. We’ll be watching closely!”
