Peyton Manning will be the keynote speaker for ProFood Tech Conference.

RESTON, Va. – Attendees at the inaugural ProFood Tech Conference in Chicago April 4-6 will have the chance to take home some inspiration from five-time National Football League MVP Peyton Manning. The football legend will give the keynote speech titled, “Winning Strategies” to open the conference on Tuesday, April 4 from 8:00 to 9:15 a.m.

“NFL great Peyton Manning will share real-world leadership tips and how you can become a winner too by learning to adapt to changing circumstances,” said Neil Moran, senior vice president, International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA). “Manning combines his trademark humor and real life stories to challenge audiences to reach higher than they ever thought possible.”

Backed by Pack Expo, Anuga and IDFA, this new biennial show’s goal is to bring the food and beverage industry together and address the key issues facing food and beverage processing operators in North America. Show organizers are encouraging attendance from all food and beverage sectors, including baking and snack, beverage, frozen/prepared foods, dairy and meat/poultry/seafood. The three-day show will feature 6,000 processing professionals, more than 400 industry suppliers, 150,000 net sq. ft. of exhibit floor and 45 hours of educational programming.

Manning most recently led the Denver Broncos to a Super Bowl victory over the Carolina Panthers in 2016, and led the Indianapolis Colts to victory in Super Bowl 41 over the Chicago Bears. He’s the first starting quarterback in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two different teams.

“A gifted leader who understands how to build successful teams is exactly who we want to address attendees at the ProFood Tech Conference," said Charles Yuska, president and CEO, PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies. “Conference participants will hear from Manning on how to motivate a team and work together toward a common goal. We are excited to hear his insights on leadership and forming strong teams.”

Educational opportunities during ProFood Tech include the conference program offered throughout the show covering a variety of topics including regulatory compliance, food safety, consumer trends and leadership development. The conference program requires a separate fee outside of the trade show cost (which is currently $30).  Each day starts with a keynote address, followed by a wide selection of concurrent sessions

The conference sessions will be held on April 4 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, April 5 from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., and April 6 from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. Full three-day passes to the conference program, which also includes access to the show floor, are $595 through Feb. 15. A one-day conference pass costs $285 through Feb. 15. Prices will then increase to $750 and $325, for a full conference and one-day conference pass, respectively. Prices will also be higher on-site.
