PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Michael S. Levitt has been appointed to the newly created role of senior vice president of corporate development for Pinnacle Foods, Inc., effective Oct. 31. In his new role, Levitt will partner with Craig Steeneck, executive vice president and CFO, and Mark Clouse, CEO, in developing and assessing merger and acquisition opportunities.

Prior to joining Pinnacle, Levitt served as the portfolio manager of LG Capital Management, LP, a private investment fund that he founded in 2011. Before that, Levitt was a research analyst at Chesapeake partners and the director of the M&A and corporate advisory group at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. Earlier in his career, Levitt was a practicing attorney specializing in M&A work at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

“We are excited to welcome Michael to Pinnacle in this important leadership role,” Steeneck said. “His well-rounded experiences in law, banking and investment management and research will be an asset to Pinnacle and position him as a strong partner to the executive team in implementing the company’s strategic business development plan.”
