KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The North American Meat Institute’s (NAMI) Animal Care and Handling Conference will take place at downtown Kansas City’s Westin Crown Center, Oct. 13-14. The educational conference will appeal to all those involved with the production and management of livestock and meat products.

With the world’s extensive production of meat products continuing to grow and society’s increasing concern for animal well-being, the topics covered at the Kansas City event provide insight to issues addressing the changing needs and trends of everyone in the business from CEOs and managers to retail and restaurant employees.

The Animal Care and Handling Conference will feature instruction from a range of speakers and presenters including leading academics and industry experts. Sessions include general topics and specialized tracks including Beef: stocking capacity, bruising, euthanasia and flooring materials; Pork: transport and unloading, stocking density, euthanasia and TQA; Poultry: stunning, transport, growth rates and housing; and more.
