“This is a touchdown for both Holmes Smokehouse and for the fans at NRG Stadium,” Rodney Roth, owner and operator of Holmes Smokehouse, said in a statement. “We love our hometown team and are thrilled with the association. If our meats are delicious enough to have won countless awards and were served at a presidential inauguration at the White House, the Texans fans are in for a treat.”
Hot dog flavors to be served at the stadium include original, All Beef, Beef with Jalapenos, Beef with Cheddar and beef blended with smoked brisket. The hot dogs and chili will be available in August in time for pre-season NFL games.
Holmes Smokehouse is celebrating 46 years in business. The company is a leading producer of pecan-smoked sausage, thick-cut bacon, Cajun boudin and holiday smoked turkeys. The company’s products were one of the only native-Texan delicacies to be served at the “Black Tie & Boots” Inaugural Ball Celebration in Washington, DC.
