Harson named senior VP at AdvancePierre

Linn Harson has been AdvancePierre's outside general counsel for the last several years.

CINCINNATI — Linn Harson has been named senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of AdvancePierre Foods Holdings, Inc., effective Aug. 1. In her new position, Harson will oversee all legal, corporate governance and compliance and reporting requirements for AdvancePierre.

Most recently, Harson was a partner at the Dayton office of Thompson Hine, a law firm that has provided legal services to AdvancePierre for the last 25 years. Harson has worked with AdvancePierre since 2005 and has been the company’s outside general counsel for the last several years.

“Linn has been a trusted adviser and resource for our team for a number of years, and I look forward to having her legal expertise and business acumen in-house as we start this exciting new chapter as a public company,” said John Simons, president and chief executive officer of AdvancePierre.

AdvancePierre, which markets and distributes ready-to-eat sandwiches, sandwich components and other entrees and snacks, made its debut as a public company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on July 15.
