Schwan hires chief growth officer for consumer brands business

 April Anslinger has joined Schwan’s Consumer Brands as senior vice-president and chief growth officer.
BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – April Anslinger has joined Schwan’s Consumer Brands, Inc., a subsidiary of The Schwan Food Co., as senior vice president and chief growth officer. In this role, Anslinger will be responsible for all sales, marketing and customer development functions for Schwan’s Consumer Brands.

Anslinger is filling a newly created position designed to align sales and marketing functions to support the company’s iconic brands and in-store execution.

“I am very excited to have April join our team in this pivotal role,” said Kevin McAdams, president of Schwan’s Consumer Brands. “She is a strong leader who has been successful in developing people and shaping cultures that deliver growth. April is also a tremendous CPG marketer who will further elevate our brands with consumers and create value for our retail customers.”

Anslinger has more than 20 years of brand marketing experience, most recently as brand director for the Herbal Essences Global brand at Procter & Gamble Co. In addition, while at Procter & Gamble, she served as a co-leader on the company’s Women’s Empowered Organization, which focuses on gender-diversity issues and female retention.

She received a bachelor’s degree from the Univ. of Southern California and a master’s degree at Kelley School of Business at Indiana Univ.
