Krakus 'Ham Train' on Boston's Red Line
Take a look at the "Ham Train" that can be seen on the Boston Red Line.
LISLE, Ill. – Krakus, the official sponsor of Polish Fest Boston 2016, is celebrating the occasion and the 225th anniversary of the Polish constitution by launching the Krakus “Ham Train.” Commuters along Boston’s Red Line train will see a train wrapped in images of Krakus ham and Krakus ham sandwiches. Krakus, which is a Smithfield Foods brand, is made in Poland.

“This is a very innovative and exciting project for Krakus,” Michael J. Sargent, senior brand manager, said in a news release. “Boston’s Red Line train will be turning heads in Krakus colors and we can’t wait to see it rolling through town.”

Krakus also will host cooking demonstrations and samplings throughout May to celebrate Polish Fest.

This is the second year for the Krakus “Ham Train” project. The brand will make a donation to the Polish American Congress of Eastern Massachusetts to help the organization revive Pulaski Park, where Polish Fest is held. The festival is an annual celebration of the history and contributions of Boston’s Polish community.
