Thrushwood Farms' Doug Hankes talked about the family lineage in the latest episode of the Meat+Poultry magazine podcast. 

Since its start, Thrushwood Farms Quality Meats has evolved with the times and continues to develop as a family owned business in Galesburg, Illinois.

Founded by Jim Hankes and two brothers in 1978, the company began as an integrated, farm-to-table concept.

The second generation has now taken over with Doug and Jeff Hankes transitioning the company in a new direction, focusing on jerky products and meat snacks.

MEAT+POULTRY Editor-in-Chief, Joel Crews talked to Doug Hankes about the family lineage in the latest podcast as well as the philanthropic use of snackstick.com to bring in a new audience to their company.
