ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. – Greenridge Farms, a producer of artisanal deli meats and sausages, recently claimed a spot on the shelves of Costco Wholesale stores throughout the Midwest.
The company’s sausages will be sold in 3-lb. packages at Costco stores across 13 states: Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Kansas and Iowa.
“For the past eight years, we have brought fresh, butcher-quality meats to families throughout Chicagoland, and we are proud to be expanding our footprint throughout the Midwest as the next step of our journey,” Sebastian Madej, co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We not only look to nature for the best ingredients needed to create layered aromas of pepper, herbs and natural smoke in our deli meats and sausages, but also to local farmers throughout the region to help us create the authentic, European-style meat experience here in the US.”
Greenridge Farm, which was founded in 2008, is on track to grow 20 percent in 2016, according to the company. The expansion into Costco has more than doubled the company’s retail presence and added another 225 stores this year. Distribution of three Greenridge Farms sausage varieties in more than 135 Jewel-Osco stores began in April. Neighborhood grocery stores carry the company’s standard 14-oz. packages of sausage.
Greenridge Farm deli meats, cheeses and condiments are available at Chicago area grocery stores, including Mariano’s, Tony’s Finer Foods, Angelo Caputo’s Fresh Markets, Valli Produce and others.
