Papa John's is now the new pizza sponsor of the MLB.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Papa John’s has signed on as the official pizza of Major League Baseball (MLB) after signing a multiyear agreement just before opening day. The pizza chain will initiate an integrated marketing and experiential campaign across MLB‘s media platforms, signature events, and the Play Ball Initiative.
Throughout the baseball season, Papa John’s will keep baseball fans interested with an online promotion called Papa Slams. After every grand slam hit during a game, fans will receive 40 percent off any pizza at regular menu price ordered online the following day at www.papajohns.com.
“This partnership combines two of the nation’s favorite pastimes, eating pizza and watching baseball,” said John Schnatter, Papa John's founder, chairman and CEO. “As the Official Pizza of Major League Baseball, we are delivering a better pizza to baseball fans and making Grand Slams even more exciting with Papa Slam.”
