Papa John's announces new ingredients executive

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Papa John’s International Inc. announced the promotion of Sean Muldoon to chief ingredient officer. Muldoon previously served as senior vice president, R&D, quality assurance and supply chain.  

“Under Sean’s leadership we have developed the Gold Standard for ingredients as well as one of the ‘cleanest' pizza ingredient labels among top national pizza chains,” Steve Ritchie, president and COO of Papa John’s said.

In his new role of Muldoon remains the head of R&D, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain globally.

“Sean and his team strive to give our customers the best ingredients and the best pizza possible,” Ritchie said. “His efforts exemplify Papa John’s continued efforts to deliver high quality ingredients sourced from ethical, dedicated suppliers.”

Muldoon joined Papa John’s in 1999. He took over as vice president, strategic supply chain management from 2001 to 2005. After that, he was the vice president of partnership marketing for two years. From 2007 to 2009 he served as vice president, general manager, of Preferred Marketing Solutions, a subsidiary of Papa John’s.
