Arby's, US Beef complete development deal

ATLANTA –Arby’s Restaurant Group and United States Beef Corp. have agreed to open 70 new restaurants over the next seven years.
US beef will continue to expand in markets that include Denver, Grand Junction and Colorado Springs, Colo., in addition to Boise, Idaho. US Beef also agreed to extend their exclusive rights to develop business in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and southwest Illinois.
“As an Arby’s franchisee for nearly 50 years and the largest franchisee with 331 restaurants, US Beef continues to exemplify the gold standard when representing our Brand,” said Greg Vojnovic, chief development officer for Arby’s. “Along with US Beef’s incredible 12 new restaurants and five remodels in 2015, this new agreement will expand their footprint significantly and deliver a deli-inspired delicious Arby’s experience to guests in many new areas.”
Arby’s noted that the chain is on track to surpass $4 billion in total system-wide sales (SSS) by the end of 2018. The company produced an 8.9 percent increase in US system-wide sales through the first three quarters of 2015 compared to a year ago.
Tulsa, Oklahoma-based US Beef is the biggest owner of Arby’s restaurants operating 323 restaurants in addition to several Taco Bueno restaurants in northwest Arkansas. The company employs more than 7,000 workers.
