AllergyEats launches app, website redesign

AllergyEats offers peer-based reviews of how well — or poorly — specific restaurants accommodate food allergic diners.
BOSTON – AllergyEats, a leading guide for food-allergic consumers seeking allergy friendly places to dine out, recently completed a full redesign of its mobile app and website. Both platforms have new features and enhanced functionality, and consumers can use both free of charge.
The upgrades include:
• improved reliability by getting information more quickly to users when and where they need it;
• customization that allows users to access results catered more closely to their individual dietary needs; and
• more social engagement that encourages connections with others in the food allergy community.
“We’ve received many positive comments about AllergyEats over the years, and we’ve also heard users’ suggestions on how to make the app and site even better,” Paul Antico, founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We take all feedback very seriously and, therefore, the upgrades we made to both the app and website reflect these suggestions and requests, helping the food allergy community more easily find, rate and share restaurant information.”
The AllergyEats database includes information on more than 825,000 restaurants across the United States. The service offers peer-based reviews of how well — or poorly — specific foodservice operations can accommodate food-allergic diners, the company said.
