MINNEAPOLIS – Nick Beste is a man on a mission. He wants to bring his Man Cave Craft Meats to grocery stores across the country.

Beste, who is featured in the July issue of MEAT+POULTRY (“Welcome to his Man Cave”), will have his high-end quality meat products in 1,100 stores in nine states by the end of the summer, including Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri and Wisconsin. Last year, Man Cave’s products were in 225 stores.
Beste believes his company’s products, including Argentinian BBQ Pork Chops, Spicy Thai Chicken Breasts, Roasted Garlic Turkey Burgers, Buffalo-Style Angus Beef Patties and more, will shake up the meat case. In fact, it’s Beste’s goal to be “disruptive.”
In June, MEAT+POULTRY's Lawrence Aylward spent a few days with Beste at Man Cave’s headquarters, interviewing him and others for the story. Aylward also filmed Beste at the Minneapolis Farm Market, where Man Cave sets up every Saturday and Sunday during the summer. In this video, Beste talks about Man Cave’s goal to create “shock and awe” in the meat case and be “pioneers” in the craft meat movement.
