2 die in Minnesota hog barn fire

JASPER, Minn. – Two people died when a barn caught fire at a hog farm in Jasper, according to local news reports. No hogs were in the barn at the time of the fire.

Sharla Drew, 50 and Kristy Giesler, 32, were power washing inside the barn when the fire started. Five fire departments responded to the blaze, which was reported before 9:30 am.

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
