Schlotzky's Viva L'Italia
Specialty sandwiches, pizza and baked pasta reflect Schlotzky's embrace of Italian-inspired dishes.
AUSTIN, Texas – Schlotzky's, a fast-casual restaurant chain, took inspiration for its new menu items from Italy. Debuting at the company's restaurants are four new oven-baked pasta dishes, three specialty ciabatta sandwiches and a new gourmet pizza.

“These Italian-inspired additions to our menu elevate what our guests already love about our brand – our high-quality ingredients, fresh flavors and adventurous recipes,” said Kelly Roddy, Schlotzsky’s president. “These hearty meals will provide our guests a way to make Schlotzsky’s part of their entire day, especially family dinner time.”


Schlotzsky’s lineup of oven-baked pastas include: Chicken Pesto Carbonara; Sausage & Peppers with Goat Cheese; Bayou Chicken and Tomato-Basil Canestrelli.

The new pizza is Chicken Alfredo Gourmet Pizza, and the ciabatta specialty sandwiches feature:

• The Sicilian, which includes shaved ham, sharp provolone cheese, pepperoni, Cotto and Genoa salamis, roasted red bell peppers and a blend of olives and pepperoncini.

• The Tuscan roasted turkey breast sandwich with melted pepper jack cheese, Roma tomatoes, field greens, bacon, cilantro and chipotle aioli; and

• The Caprese, a classic recipe of shredded mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, mayonnaise, field greens, balsamic onion, basil pesto and a balsamic glaze.
