Worker injured at Jack Link's facility

UNDERWOOD, Iowa – A woman working at a Jack Link's Beef Jerky facility was injured when a pallet fell on her head, according to news reports.

News reports state a Pottawattamie County deputy was notified of the incident at approximately 5:30 p.m. Dec. 6. The worker was taken to Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa in serious condition.

“At Link Snacks we think of employees as family,” the company said in a statement. “Their safety is our top priority. Our thoughts and prayers are with our colleague, and the company has been and remains in contact with their family.

“We take this incident very seriously and are thoroughly investigating its causes.”
