OMAHA – Slim Jim, a ConAgra Foods brand, announced a licensing partnership with AMC’s "The Walking Dead" TV series just before its fifth season premiere on Oct. 12. Through April 6, 2015, consumers can purchase temporarily renamed “Carnage Asada” Slim Jim Steakhouse Strips plus enter to win a trip for two to San Diego to meet the show’s cast and a year’s supply of Slim Jim snacks.

Weekly winners will receive a copy of The Walking Dead Season Four on DVD and Battleground: The Walking Dead, a plug-and-play video game by Jakks Pacific.

“Slim Jim’s bold flavor pairs perfectly with AMC and The Walking Dead,” says Jill Dexter, brand director for Slim Jim. “In a post-apocalyptic world or in your living room, it’s important to be prepared with the right snack and our Carnage Asada Steakhouse is just that.”

Limited-edition packaging will be featured on SlimJim.com, at Walmart and at AMC’s ShopTheWalkingDead.com and Amazon.com.

Slim Jim bills itself as the No. 1 meat-stick brand. It includes a variety of snack items, including meat sticks, beef jerky, beef steak and beef and cheese and is available in a variety of flavors at retail outlets.
