Applegate launches organic, natural lunch kits

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – Applegate's new Half Time lunch kit combines three leading brands in the natural and organic market segment into one package.
Available in three varieties, each Half Time lunch kit contains organic yogurt from Stonyfield, Annie's organic fruit snacks and crackers and Applegate natural lunchmeats and cheeses.
“Our survey showed that parents love the convenience of pre–packed lunch kits, but not necessarily the ingredients,” said Neil Leinwand, Applegate senior vice president of marketing. “With Half Time, parents don’t have to compromise between convenience and quality because we’re combining the three trusted natural and organic brands that are already in their refrigerators and pantries.”
Applegate Half Time comes in Turkey & Cheese, Ham & Cheese and Bologna & Cheese at a suggested retail price of $4.99. The kits include Applegate Naturals meats and American cheese; Stonyfield YoKids Squeezers Strawberry Organic Lowfat Yogurt and Annie's Homegrown Buttery Rich Crackers. The kits also contain either Annie's Bunny Graham Friends or Organic Berry Patch Fruit Snacks. Half Time lunch kits are available at retailers such as Target, BJ's and Safeway.
