Tyson mobilizes disaster relief

SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Tyson Foods, Inc. deployed disaster relief teams to central Arkansas following a tornado that left at least 16 people dead and caused extensive damage.

Tyson is sending its 53-ft. Meals that Matter disaster relief trailer, truckloads of food and ice and cooking teams from nearby Tyson plant communities. News reports state that Faulkner County, Arkansas was hardest hit by tornadoes sparked by severe thunderstorms that moved into the area on April 27. Ten people were killed in the towns of Vilonia and Mayflower, according to news reports.

Tyson disaster relief teams will be in Mayflower, which is northwest of Little Rock, to help feed relief workers and residents affected by the storms.

Hopefully the large food Corporations in Canada can follow the Compassion example set by Tyson when a disaster occurs in our country. Way to go ... Tyson !
