DAVIS, Calif. – Superior Farms, a leading processor and marketer of lamb products, has named Anders Hemphill vice president of marketing and brand strategy.

“I’m tremendously excited about the opportunity to bring a brand marketing perspective to Superior Farms, Hemphill said. The company is poised to provide a leadership role and drive growth for the entire lamb industry. With a new emphasis on developing meaningful brands we will be able to elevate the consumption of lamb both among existing and new consumers.”

Hemphill brings 20 years of marketing and branding experience to the position. Previously, he worked with Smithfield Foods, Inc. and JBS, according to Superior Farms. He has spent the last 11 years with EMM Group, a marketing consulting firm. Hemphill's expertise includes brand management and marketing research roles with The Gillette Company and AC Nielsen. He has held positions at Instill Corporation, a technology firm specializing in e-commerce solutions for the foodservice industry. Hemphill has worked with brands such as Gillette, Oral-B, General Mills, Tropicana, Quaker Oats, Best Foods, Kimberly Clark, Pfizer, and DuPont.

“This is all very exciting and applicable as one of Superior Farms key strategic initiatives,” said Rick Stott, CEO of Superior Farms. “Anders will be working to develop and deploy a comprehensive marketing and brand strategy. Leveraging his experience with our current efforts, we will solidify our position as industry leaders.”
