SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. – Johnsonville Sausage has developed a new line of fully cooked meatballs and sausage slices that can go from the freezer to the skillet.

The products are made with fresh pork and blends of herbs and spices, and they are free of MSG, artificial colors and flavors. The meatballs and sausage slices are packaged in re-sealable bags to maintain freshness. The products come in five flavors: Johnsonville Classic Italian Meatballs; Johnsonville Homestyle Meatballs; Johnsonville Three Cheese Meatballs; Johnsonville Mild Italian Sausage Slices; and Johnsonville Hot & Spicy Sausage Slices.

"Meatballs have been a family favorite but often are considered too time consuming to make," said Valerie Zanchettin, senior brand manager. "From the freezer to the oven, stove or even the microwave, our new meatballs and sausage slices offer our customers this popular protein in a flavorful and convenient option to enhance their pasta dishes, pizzas, sandwiches and appetizers."

Johnsonville Meatballs are available in 24-oz. packages containing 28 meatballs to a package, while the Johnsonville Sausage Slices come in 22-oz. packages. Both products retail for $7.99 and are being launched at grocery stores nationwide over the next few months.
