Maple Leaf Farms launches duck bacon

LEESBURG, Ind. – Maple Leaf Farms has added duck bacon to the company's product line-up.

Made from boneless breast meat, the bacon is cured and smoked over apple wood. The thick-sliced duck bacon contains 57 percent less fat than pork bacon and has pork bacon texture, according to the company.

Maple Leaf Farms Duck Bacon is available in 12-oz. vacuum packages, six packages to a case for retail stores. Consumers can buy Duck Bacon directly from the company through its website. Maple Leaf Farms is a leading producer of value-added duck products for foodservice and retail segments.
