Tyson Foods VP sells 75,000 shares

SPRINGDALE, Ark. – Noel White, senior group vice president, Tyson Fresh Meats, sold 75,000 shares of Tyson stock, according to a Sept. 16 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The stock sold for an average price of $30.20 for a total of $2,265,000. White now directly owns 35,446 shares in the company.
Shares of Tyson Foods were trading up 31 percent, hitting $30.34 shortly after 3:30 pm Central on Sept. 16. The stock had a trading volume of 2,913,993 shares. The company posted strong results for the third quarter ended June 29. The company's net income in the quarter surged 236 percent on a combination of increased chicken and beef demand and improved operational efficiencies within both business units.
