The frozen, ready-to-cook chicken retails for $4.99-$5.99 for a 9-oz. box of six. The chicken comes in paper-thin slices that can go from freezer to pan in two minutes and can be used in soups, salads, casseroles and a variety of other meal solutions, according to Steak-ummm Company.

“As a Steak-umm product, this line extension not only provides instant brand recognition that will help drive sales, but also fills a void in the convenience market for consumers who don’t eat beef, want to vary their sliced steak consumption with another meat option, or need to meet a mix of family eating habits,” said Sergei Szortyka, president of Steak-umm Company. “The product’s low-calorie, low-fat, non-allergenic and versatility features should also help it gain market traction equivalent to or perhaps even exceeding our beef sandwich steaks.”

I purchased this product after many years of using the steak-umms. which I loved. Chicken was a great idea as well. It states paper thin SLICES not paper think bits of pieces. When I opened the box and took out 3 slices and put in pan to cook, I got mush. I did cook the pieces, not slices, and they were okay. but I would have preferred slices not mush.
