READING, Pa. — Mark Clausen is the new vice president of sales at Quaker Maid Meats, a retail supplier of frozen sandwich steaks and supplier of other frozen meat products. His responsibilities include retail and foodservice sales, marketing and promotions, and management of the sales force for the company’s Quaker Maid, Philly Gourmet, Steak-umm, Mama Lucia, Gina Lina and Prima Familia brands.

Clausen has worked in the food industry for 22 years, including 10 years at Acosta Sales & Marketing, where he created and launched the first national fresh foods program focusing on the store perimeter. His perimeter experience included successful national placements for many meat clients, including Quaker Maid.

Quaker Maid recently launched Steak-umm Chicken Breast Sandwich Steaks, a line of frozen, ready-to-cook chicken slices that go from freezer to pan to plate in two minutes. This makes Steak-umm the first national brand to sell chicken sandwich steak products, and the first to provide a single source for both beef and chicken sliced steaks as well as frozen beef patties.

Clausen is based in suburban Chicago.
