BOLINGBROOK, Ill. – Quantum Foods LLC announced John Morrissey was appointed executive vice president, sales and marketing, and Herman Brons was appointed chief financial officer. Morrissey and Brons will report to Peter Brown, president.

“We need to seize the opportunity to innovate and delight our customers every day with the highest standard of quality and safety in the marketplace and this team will achieve that,” said Edward Bleka, CEO, owner and founder of the company.

Morrissey spent seven years at Cargill, where he held various executive positions with the company. Most recently, he served as vice president, national accounts sales. Morrissey brings more than 25 years of sales experience in all segments of the food industry, including previous positions with Unilever, ConAgra Foods and Sara Lee.

Brons acquired increasing levels of responsibility in his 17 years with CSM, including CFO of significant operating divisions in the United States. CSM is the leading provider of bakery products, bio-based food ingredients and bio-chemicals. Before joining CSM, Brons worked for eight years as an auditor at KPMG in New York and the Netherlands.

“Perhaps the most essential element of preparing an organization for the future is leadership,” said Brown. “Assembling a world-class team with the ability to mentor and lead our stakeholders into the robust growth ambitions of the organization has been a primary focus. Now, together, we move this business into the next chapter of its fine history.”
