PRINCETON, Mo. – Premium Standard Farms, LLC has changed its name to Murphy-Brown of Missouri, LLC effective immediately. The company is a unit of Smithfield Foods, Inc. hog production subsidiary Murphy-Brown, LLC.

“This is exciting news for our company and cause for celebration,” said Michael Rainwater, general manager of Murphy-Brown of Missouri. “We are solidifying our position as a provider in Smithfield Foods' integrated supply chain, thereby providing increased career opportunities while continuing to be an economic engine in north Missouri. We are providing excellent jobs and strong futures for those of us who love to live and work in this rural setting.”
