Smithfield launches campaign for marinated pork

SMITHFIELD, Va. – Smithfield Packing Company announced a promotional campaign supporting its marinated pork product line.
Smithfield plans to air a four-week television campaign on cable and network channels, the company said. The commercial will promote the product's flavor and convenience. The promotion will also highlight the product's health benefits focusing on the fact that the company has reduced sodium in the product by an average of 25.5 percent. The commercial will air beginning Feb. 11 through March 10. The promotion campaign also will include circulating a full-page ad.
Smithfield's Marinated Pork Sirloins, Loin Filets and Tenderloins are available in seven flavors that include garlic and herb, golden rotisserie, mesquite, Portobello and teriyaki.
