CHICAGO – Carl Buddig & Company announced Marlon Villaneuva of Mississauga, Ontario, was named the company's new Canadian sales manager. He succeeds Robert Luce, who is retiring after 25 years with the company.
Villaneuva will oversee sales, marketing and brand management for the company's Buddig and Old Wisconsin product lines in Canada. Additionally, he will support new product launches, provide promotional and marketing support for existing product lines and manage pricing and inventory. He is tasked with growing the Carl Buddig brands using the company's extensive coast-to-coast distribution network. Key outlets include retail grocery stores and warehouse clubs.
“Marlon is a welcome addition to the Buddig team,” said Tom Buddig, executive vice president marketing, Carl Buddig & Company. “He brings to the position a strong track record of sales growth and a deep understanding of our category. These skills build upon the solid work and strong legacy that Bob Luce leaves behind as he focuses on retirement.”
Villanueva served in successive management positions with natural and specialty food distributor Tree of Life Canada, where he successfully managed a portfolio of brands.
